Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Google Docs Invoice Template (the “Site,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit googledocsinvoicetemplate.com, copy a template, or use the browser-based invoice generator.
Information You Enter in the Invoice Generator
The invoice generator runs in your browser. Business names, client details, addresses, email addresses, line items, rates, tax values, notes, and payment terms you enter are held in the page’s temporary browser state. The Site does not send this invoice content to our servers or save it in an account or database. When you download a PDF, the file is generated on your device.
Closing or refreshing the page normally clears the information you entered. Do not enter Social Security numbers, full bank account numbers, card data, medical information, or other sensitive personal information.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting and security providers may process standard technical information when your browser requests a page. This may include your IP address, request date and time, requested URL, browser and device type, referring page, response status, and diagnostic or security events. We use this information to deliver the Site, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain security.
We do not currently provide user accounts, paid subscriptions, a contact form, or payment processing on the Site.
Cookies and Analytics
We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. Our hosting platform may use limited technical storage or similar mechanisms that are necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the Site. If we add analytics or advertising technology later, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by law.
Google Docs and Other Third-Party Services
“Make a Copy” links open Google Docs. Google may collect information under its own policies, and you may need a Google account to create or save a document. We do not receive your Google password, Drive contents, or the invoice details you place in Google Docs. Review the Google Privacy Policy before using Google services.
The Site is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may process technical request data as our infrastructure provider. Other external links are governed by the policies of the sites you visit.
How We Use and Disclose Information
We use technical information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site; respond to lawful requests; and enforce our Terms of Service. We may disclose limited information to hosting, security, and technical service providers that process it for those purposes; when required by law; to protect users or the Site; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the Site.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention and Security
Invoice content entered in the generator is not retained by us. Hosting and security logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for operations, security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations, subject to our providers’ systems and retention settings.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no website or network is completely secure. Keep your own copies of important documents and remove sensitive payment credentials before sharing an invoice.
US State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether an applicable state privacy law covers our activities, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. You may also have the right to appeal a denied request and to receive equal service after exercising a privacy right.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To submit a request, email privacy@googledocsinvoicetemplate.com. Describe your request and the state where you live. We may need to verify enough information to process the request. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
International Visitors
The Site is operated for users in the United States. If you access it from another country, your technical information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the Site or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and change the effective date. Material changes apply prospectively unless the law requires otherwise.
